  • Provided Information: Information you voluntarily give us when applying for the server whitelist, opening a support ticket, or making a donation. This includes your Discord Username/ID, email address (for payment processing), and your submitted character/roleplay applications.

  • Game Server Data: When you connect to AshBorne RP, our server automatically logs your IP address, Steam ID (GUID), and in-game activity (such as chat logs, kill feeds, and connection times). This is standard for all DayZ servers and is required for server administration and moderation.

  • Financial Data: If you purchase a Supporter tier or custom gear, your payment is processed securely by our third-party payment gateways (e.g., PayPal, Stripe, or Tebex). We do not store or have direct access to your credit card numbers or bank account details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to operate and manage the AshBorne RP community. Specifically, we use your data to:

  • Manage your whitelist status and Discord roles.

  • Monitor server performance, enforce community rules, and issue bans for rule-breaking or cheating.

  • Process your voluntary donations and fulfill custom gear/tier requests.

  • Communicate with you regarding server updates, ticket responses, or account status.

  • Prevent fraudulent transactions and protect our community from griefers and malicious users.

3. Third-Party Services & Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to outside parties. However, we do utilize trusted third-party services to run our community, which may process your data according to their own privacy policies:

  • Bohemia Interactive / Steam: For authenticating your game ownership and connecting you to the server.

  • Discord: For community communication, support tickets, and whitelist role management.

  • Server Hosting Providers: To physically host the game server and store server logs.

  • Google (Forms): For processing our whitelist applications.

  • Payment Processors: To securely process donations and subscription tiers.

Note: If you break our server rules (e.g., hacking, exploiting), your Steam ID may be shared with global DayZ ban lists (such as Community Online Tools or similar anti-cheat databases) to protect other server owners.

4. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative and technical security measures to protect your personal information. Server logs and whitelist applications are restricted to the AshBorne RP Admin and Moderation team. However, please be aware that no data transmission over the Internet or digital storage system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your Data Rights (GDPR Compliance)

Depending on your region (including the UK and EU), you may have specific rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to Access: You can request to know what personal data we hold about you.

  • Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): You can request that we delete your whitelist application or Discord data. (Note: Requesting data deletion will result in the loss of your whitelist status and removal from the server. We may also retain your Steam ID indefinitely on our internal ban list if you were removed for rule violations, to protect the server).

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our server operations or legal requirements. We will notify the community of any significant changes via our Discord announcements channel. Continued use of the server or website after updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
